Oliver Zander is the Director General of Gesamtmetall, the Federation of German Employers’ Associations in the Metal and Electrical Engineering Industries. Since 2013, he has served as the strategic lead for the federation, which represents the interests of Germany’s largest industrial sector-comprising over 7,100 companies and nearly 4 million employees.

A lawyer by training with an extensive background in labor law and social policy, Zander is a leading expert on industrial relations and collective bargaining. Beyond his national role, he brings a deep European perspective as the former Chairman of Ceemet (European Tech & Industry Employers) and contributes his expertise to the Governing Board of the Federal Employment Agency.
