Alexa Chopivsky
Alexa Chopivsky is the Executive Director of the Women’s Foreign Policy Group, where she champions women’s leadership in international affairs. She was previously the inaugural Executive Director of Ukraine House Davos, where she played a pivotal role in launching and growing Ukraine’s premier investment and public diplomacy platform alongside the World Economic Forum- both before and during the war.
Ms. Chopivsky serves as Deputy Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board at UkraineInvest and previously advised Ukraine’s Minister of Economic Development, Trade, and Agriculture. Since 2012, she has also directed the Program on the World Economy at the Aspen Institute.
Her career began in journalism at NBC News, covering global affairs from New York, Washington, and London. She later moved to Kyiv, working as a consultant and freelance journalist across Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. Ms. Chopivsky is the Founder of Transnational Education Group and former Executive Director of the American Center for a European Ukraine.
Her leadership has been recognized by the Council on Foreign Relations (Term Member) and the Eurasia Foundation (Young Professionals Network). She currently serves on the boards of Teach for Ukraine, the Orchestra of the Americas Group, and the Ukrainian Freedom Fund. In 2021, she was awarded the Order of Princess Olga by the President of Ukraine.
Ms. Chopivsky holds a BA from Yale University (Political Science and Russian & East European Studies), an MS from Columbia Journalism School, and an MIPP from Johns Hopkins SAIS.
